Fort Donelson 150th

As part of the events pertaining to the sesquicentennial of the Battle of Fort Donelson, Dudeboy and I fell in with the US 9th Kentucky Infantry to commemorate the transition to Union occupation after the "unconditional surrender."

A reconstruction of one of the log huts used for winter quarters. We could have used one of these, as the temperature at night was a little too realistic.
